Important Considerations

Before jumping into the fun and easy recipes, there are some things to check and take into consideration first:

  • Check for allergies: if you are having some family members or fellow newbie parents over, make sure to shoot them a message beforehand asking about their babies’ allergies or intolerances.

  • Baby Proof your entire home, especially if you’re planning on inviting other babies: if going to be tough to keep an eye on each and every one of them at all times. Make sure that your home is extra safe. Don’t know where to start? Here’s our ultimate baby proofing guide.

Healthy Halloween Snacks

Here are our quick and healthy Halloween snacks for your adorable baby:

Boonanas

Cut a banana in half, and insert a popsicle stick from the flat side of it. Now just add 3 chocolate chips – two for the eyes and one for the mouth. There you go! Your baby will love these.

Clementine Jack-o’-Lantern

Simply peel a clementine being extra careful to not separate the cloves from each other. Then cut a small piece of celery and insert it in the middle of the peeled clementine. Cut the celery stick in thinner pieces if it doesn’t fit.

Candy Corn Popsicles

This one is extra easy! You only need some orange juice and blood orange juice (spooky!). Fill your popsicle mold halfway through with the blood orange juice and pop it in the freezer. You can also use some plastic cups and popsicle sticks if you don’t have a popsicle mold. Wait a couple of hours and proceed in adding the orange juice. And voilà, candy corn popsicles!

Candy Corn Fruit Bowls

Here’s another way to create healthy candy corns: peel and cut a pineapple, as well as a clementine. Now get a small transparent bowl (or a mason jar, or even a plastic cup), then fill them halfway through with the pineapple. Finish up by simply adding the clementine cloves!

Mummy Toast

Make some homemade baby-friendly hummus by blending a jar of garbanzo beans and the juice of half a lemon. Then grab some cheese slices and cut them in thin strips.
Time to assemble everything! Toast some sliced bread or grab some crackers: first add a layer of hummus, then the cheese strips (try to make it look like mummy bandages!). Now it’s time to get a pitted olive and cut it horizontally in thin slices, which will be the eyes of your spooky Mummy Toast!

Apple Pumpkins

You’ll only need 3 things: an apple, peanut butter and a knife. Vertically cut an apple in slices: these will be your apple jack-o’-lantern pumpkins. Then “carve” your “pumpkins” by creating a couple of holes for the eyes, and another one for the mouth, it can be as detailed as you want. Unleash your creativity!
Once the “pumpkins” are ready, add a layer of peanut butter to make it extra yummy!
